Beat Schaufelberger, Services Director for Switzerland & Austria, Cisco

Beat Schaufelberger leads a Team of Services Sales Representatives and Services consultants. This team helps Cisco customers to apply the appropriate Professional Services and Support Models throughout the network lifetime from a Planning, Design, Implementation and Operation perspective.

Until April 2009, Beat was Director, Systems Engineering and was responsible for a team of Networking experts and consultants, working in the enterprise, commercial and service provider market. At the same time, he led a team of highly specialized Sales People focused on new advanced Technologies in the area of Datacenter, Unified Communication & Security.

Before he joined Cisco 14 years ago, Beat started his career with a technical education in Electronics, joined a System Integrator in Switzerland in 1991 and after 2 years working at an Application System Integrator, he started at Cisco as a Systems Engineer and became a Consulting System Engineer focusing on Security & Remote Access Networks. During this time, he was involved in designing some of the biggest IP Networks in Switzerland.

Since 1999, Beat Schaufelberger has had several managerial roles within Cisco and got promoted to Director Systems Engineering in 2002. He has lead several technical Teams across Europe & Emerging Markets, and he has developed a team of high qualified professionals in the designing and development of IP network infrastructures of both enterprise and service provider customers.
