Camillo Ascione, Network Solution Engineer Director, Italtel

Camillo Ascione is Business Unit Director at Italtel S.p.A. and he has the responsibility of Product Marketing, Solution Engineering, Testing and Deployment of Italtel and Cisco products for the enterprise and service provider market.He has also the responsibility of Cisco Alliance for Italtel

After a technical education in electronics in 1985, he joined Honeywell Information System as field Hardware Engineer. From 1995 to 1999, Camillo Ascione worked for Sirti S.p.A as Network Engineer with a primary role in design deploy and support, one of the first IP Backbone in the service provider Italian market.

Before joining Italtel he worked for Hewlett Packard for three years as Consulting Network Engineer focusing on enterprise Cisco networks for pre sales and later he managed several network projects with the role of technical project manager. On June 1999 he got CCIE Cisco certification #4842.

Since 2001 Camillo Ascione has had several managerial roles within Italtel, in the sales support team and on Engineering Consulting group.

He was promoted to IP Director System Engineering in 2003 He has developed a team with high specialized NGN VoIP professionals in designing and delivery Public Service provider network. His team developed Managed Services for service provider and enterprise market on voip and security technology.

In the 2007 he was promoted to Network Solution Engineer Director at Italtel S.p.A. and he had the responsibility of Solution Engineering of Italtel and Cisco products for the enterprise and service provider market.

In the 2009 he obtained the position of Delivery Director at Italtel S.p.A. and he was responsible for Solution Engineering, Testing and Deployment of Italtel and Cisco products for the enterprise and service provider market
