 Innovation Awards at Cisco Live 2012: JudgesGiuseppe Zanolini, Client Director, Cisco Italy
During seventeen years at Cisco, he has managed several successful projects in which he had a primary role in coordinating development, pre-sales and sales teams. After achieving a university degree in Electronics and Telecommunication network Engineering by the Politecnico of Milan in 1991 and a Master in Information Technology by Cefriel in Milan, he joined the Cefriel staff, where he was involved in research activities on advanced architectures and high speed networks. He joined Cisco in 1993, initially as a Systems Engineer and then as a Network Design Engineer. In these roles, he designed some of the first and most important router networks in Italy, being instrumental for the introduction of the IP technology within major Italian customers. Since 1996, Giuseppe Zanolini has had several managerial roles within Cisco. In 2002, he took the responsibility of the pre-sales organization in Italy, as Director of Systems Engineering. He developed an organization that has contributed to design and deploy many of the most relevant IP networking infrastructures and services in Italy. In 2008, Giuseppe moved to the position of Director of Advanced Technology Sales in Italy. He had the responsibility to develop the business of most promising new technologies for Cisco, such as Virtualization and Collaboration. Since 2010, he has joined the position of Client Director in the Service Provider market. In this role, he leads the sales and technical operations of important Italian customers. |
