Giuseppe Zanolini, Director, Advanced Technology Sales, Cisco

Giuseppe Zanolini is Director of Advanced Technology Sales at Cisco Italy and he leads the sales and pre-sales teams focused on enterprise and service provider markets; he is also in charge of specialist channel development.

During fifteen years at Cisco, he has managed several successful projects in which he had a primary role in coordinating development, pre-sales and sales teams.

After achieving a university degree in Electronics and Telecommunication network Engineering by the Politecnico of Milan in 1991 and a Master in Information Technology by Cefriel in Milan, he joined the Cefriel staff, where he was involved in research activities on advanced architectures and high speed networks.

He joined Cisco in 1993, initially as a Systems Engineer and then as a Network Design Engineer. During this time, he designed some of the most important router networks in Italy, being instrumental for the introduction of the IP technology within major Italian customers.

Since 1996, Giuseppe Zanolini has had several managerial roles within Cisco. He has developed a team of high qualified professionals that gives its contribution in the development of IP network infrastructures of both enterprise and service provider customers. In 2002, he took the responsibility of the pre-sales organization in Italy, as Director of Systems Engineering. With his team, he has contributed to design and deploy many of the most relevant networking infrastructures and services in Italy.

Since the beginning of 2008, Giuseppe has moved to the position of Director of Advanced Technology Sales in Italy. He has the responsibility of specialist sales and support of the most promising technologies for Cisco, such as Data Center, Unified Communications and Collaboration, Security and Wireless.
