Juergen Hill, Senior Editor, COMPUTERWOCHE - IDG Business Germany

Juergen Hill Mr. Hill brings some 20 years of experience in data communications, telecommunications, internet and mobile communications. At the time when he joined the editorial staff of COMPUTERWOCHE - the leading B2B IT weekly in Germany - in 1992 users were still dealing with SNA networks and thin vs. thick Ethernet; a switched network was an expensive and strategic decision those days.

In the early 90s, Mr. Hill and COMPUTERWOCHE were among the first publications to realize the impact of the internet and the Web on the IT-industry. Later he covered the liberalization of the European telecoms markets. Since the late 90s Mr. Hill has been writing about the transition of the "old" IT and PSTN-telecommunications world into All-IP networks with new services, e.g. Unified Communications, SaaS and virtualized data centers.

Besides his editorial work as a senior editor for COMPUTERWOCHE, Mr. Hill is also a frequent guest speaker at industry events like CeBIT, Telekom Forum (Deutsche Telekom's business user group), webinars and so forth. He also sits on the jury of COMPUTERWOCHE's prestigious "Anwender des Jahres" award.

Education:
Mr. Hill holds a journalism diploma from the renowned Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, his minors were political sciences and computer science.
